It's been so crazy with Kora coming home. She's up all night and sleeps all day. Kind of like our own personal rockstar. She sure has the clothes for it. We have had many appointments and everything is checking out great! Kora is gaining weight. She's growing taller. Her surgerical incision is healing great. She's overall fantastic. We did get some great news. She doesn't have cystic fibrosis! We thought she did due to some genetic testing. It turns out she is a carrier for the disease though. Anthony and I will have to go through some genetic testing before we try again. We are officially the zombie caffeine sucking new parents. We wouldn't change it for the world.

Day 77-79
Well surprise!! Kora is home! She was discharged on day 78 of life. We kept it a secret. We wanted to surprise Anthony's mom! It was so great! It's been a wonderful 36 hours with her. She's doing great. She feeds awesome. (Still from a bottle) we even had a field trip! We went to dinner with family at outback and then she had her first target trip! (It won't be her last.) We are both so over joyed she's gone. She's really home. 💞💞
Day 75-76
Not much has changed! Kora is continuing to eat whatever she wants whenever she wants. She's on no medications. Mommy and Daddy started to room in with her. This means no more monitors! She's coming home soon. She's doing it. She really is. She's pooping, eating and being the warrior princess she is. We are running to get her room ready. Who knew one little girl could have so much stuff!! The picture below is of daddy changing his first poopy diaper! He didn't even throw up. :)

Day 73
Kora was able to eat today! Not much but she's eating! She also pooped 3 times. This is an awesome sign. She has a really rough night. They had to place an iv in her scalp. I am not happy about this at all. It looks awful. I feel so bad for her. I wish I could take the pokes for her. I wish I could just go through this all for her. But we are almost home. So that's okay.
Day 72
She pooped! She pooped! She really pooped! From her butt! I was so excited! I ran out to the nurse and cried she pooped! She's doing a little better. She still has some outbreak pain. But she's mostly just hungry. She's getting soooo big and strong. I am so proud of her. She is such a warrior princess. I love her.

Day 71
Kora had a bad day. She was in a lot of pain. They attempted to put a PICC in and she was moving too much so they failed. She is still on TPN for nutrition. She is on fentanyl. She will continue to be on that just to manage her pain. This evening she was a lot better. She was wide awake and self soothing. We are still waiting for the big poop. 💩💩 The day that happens is the day she gets a pony and a pink Mercedes. Haha.
